iPhones and HPV

Friends, Ladies, Vaginas…tune in for a second ;)

I know you’ve been scared lately by all the media hype surrounding HPV and the vaccine, and I wanted to dedicate this article to assuaging your fear a bit. We gals have to put things into perspective for ourselves!

I look at it like this: remember all the madness when the iPhone first came out last year? I saw the stories about people sleeping in front of the Apple store to be the first to shop. While that was happening I thought to myself, now why should I put myself out to test market their new product? I know it’s going to have some issues, I know they’ll come out with a better, faster, less buggy, more cool app’s, slimmer, cheaper model. So why don’t I just wait and see for a minute what might come next?

I think in light of what is happening in the world of drug companies, it’s good food for thought, yes?

Laughing Sage does not advocate women being guinea pigs and we trust you don’t want to be one, either. It is always the healthier option to take responsibility for your own health, to improve your own immune response, to stay safe in terms of sexual practices and to have regular GYN check-ups to monitor the health of your cervix. Our culture’s fascination with quick-fix miracle pills and cure-all diet drugs and the “if I just did , everything would be okay” mentality gets you into trouble all the time.

As always, ladies, educate yourself on how to care for your unique female body, practice optimizing it using food, and begin leveraging the opportunities unique to your hormones. It’s up to you to make you the best you can be! And, of course, let us know how we can support you – we’ve SO got your back!

In light,
alisa
