We found it shocking but not surprising that this New York woman, Keiko DesJardins, was forcefully admitted to the psych ward of a Brooklyn hospital when really all she wanted was a routine GYN exam. Is the medical world still so uncomfortable with feminine expression and emotion that female hysteria is reemerging as a disease?
