I sit here writing you from my bed, where I've been for the past 3 days with a pretty severe stomach flu. (Well, to be more specific I've been in and out of bed, spending at least half the time on the toilet. Oof.)
It's about 12:30pm on a Tuesday and I just had an amazing call with a former client who is so excited to start working together again in the Spring Awakening Program. It was a juicy, inspiring call that took me out of this bed-ridden reality for a few moments.
And here's why I'm sharing all this:
It's amazing how when your body is sick, it forces you to prioritize what really matters in your life.
I've been doing the bare bare minimum for 3 days now and have managed to sign up more clients (help more people) than I have in the past month combined.
There were many weeks when I spent more time at the office, more time checking email, more time writing email... and while it gave me the illusion of feeling busy and productive, the truth was that I wasn't really accomplishing much.
What shifted me into this new discovery?
3 things.
1. a colonic
2. coaching support
3. disgust with myself
Let me explain.
Would I recommend a colonic for everyone? No. I even have a hint that it might have made me more vulnerable to this weird stomach flu I'm dealing with now. But what I would recommend is doing your own version of a letting go, a cleaning out. It could be as simple as cleaning out your closet and getting rid of all the clothes that no longer match your style. It could also be a gentle kind of food cleanse, like what we offer at LSW. If you don't actively choose to cleanse somehow, it might just happen for you (i.e. weird stomach flu.)
As for the coaching support, I would absolutely recommend it to everyone. Being a coach myself I’ve learned the importance, the necessity, of always having someone supporting me, holding me accountable, so that I can walk my talk and make positive, healthy changes for myself and my clients. Recently, I've been working with 2 phenomenal women who are rocking my world: Joanna Lindenbaum and her Women’s Intuitive Leadership Program, and LiYana Silver of Love 3.0.
And finally, I think the most powerful point from the list above is number 3, because without becoming so saturated in disgust and stuckness, I would have never sought out the other 2 kinds of therapy. If you are feeling the same, or getting close, embrace it, girl! Feel it deeply, don't run away, don't hide, and your serendipitous modality of healing and transformation will appear.
Ask yourself the following questions:
- In what area/s do I feel the most stuck?
- What is the pattern I frequently find myself in? (i.e. busy mode, overwhelm, procrastination, body-hating, food-obsessing)
- What resources and support systems do I currently have available that can help me directly or lead me in the right direction?
If you feel like LSW might be a support for you at this time in your process, please do schedule a consultation with me or another counselor at our center. We will discuss all that's holding you back, all that you desire, and a clear way of breaking through and making change in your life. With the coming of Spring, there couldn't be a better time to take action.
It would be my honor to support you!

hi, new to the site, thanks.
welcome!
thanks for joining us :)
Would it be possible for you to share why you wouldn't recommend a colonic for everyone? Or is that something I would need to set up an appointment for (since I'm having lots of problems after having a series of them done...)
Many Thanks!
Great question -
I think it depends on what your diet and lifestyle are like to begin with. If you're someone who eats pretty heavy on the sugar/processed foods/meats, then the colonic can be really uncomfortable and do more harm than good. I think colonics are better as supplements when you're already involved in food cleansing process. But of course, everyone is different.
I'd be curious to hear more about your situation and what kinds of problems you're dealing with.
Feel free to email me directly if you'd like to set up a consultation and speak more!
