Self-Love Tools

What feelings got stirred up for you this Valentine’s Day?
We hear about self-love all the time, but what are the practical ways you can use it and have it transform your health and your life?
We’ve put together a list of our favorites and highly recommend you putting at least one into practice this week and see how it changes your world!
Top 4 Self-Love Tools
- Pack your own lunch. Nourishing oneself with food is the ultimate act of self-love. If you don’t have time to cook and pack lunch, at least have healthy, blood-sugar-balancing snacks in your bag, like Lara Bars, trail mix, an apple, or Mary’s Gone Crackers. Getting caught in a low blood sugar moment without proper sustenance will leave you feeling angry, anxious, and too hungry, which will lead to impulsive food decisions (usually involving sugar, caffeine, or bready things) and cycle you into that beating-yourself-up-mode that is so contrary to self-love.
- Rub, soak, moisturize, decorate your body. From self-massage to salt scrubs to writing positive messages on your belly, there are so many ways to give your body direct, physical messages of love and appreciation. Check out this article if you feel challenged in the body image department.
- Surround yourself with loving scents, sounds, and souls. Important questions to consider: Did you take a moment to spray some essential oils or perfume on yourself? Did you play your favorite tunes in the morning while getting dressed and ready for the day? And who are the people you’re spending most of your time with? Are they supporting and inspiring you with good energy or are they dragging you down? Adjust where necessary.
- Get support! Self-lovin’ can be challenging, but luckily there are so many amazing women out there who have dedicated their lives to supporting women just like you in making it possible, thereby making your dreams possible.
